  • Strip mall show was yesterday, and it went pretty well.  We had a lotta fun and we made $888!!!  Woot woot!  I really love doing this show in particular because we are continuing the Chinese tradition of bringing good luck at stores during New Years.  It's so great to see the smiles on the faces of the Chinese customers and store owners especially the older ones because we are giving them a piece of their home country.  The kids also love the show (or are scared of it and cry haha).  And of course it's always great introducing non-Asians to lion dancing.  It was pretty cool how so many people were taking pictures of us with their phones and cameras.  We're so hot!

    Me, Ken, Jason, and Anna got memberships at Lifetime Fitness, and so far I've enjoyed going there.  Too bad my abs hurt so much I can't do anything without them aching.   But that's a good thing.  My goal is to lose 5-10 pounds by mid-April.  Yeeeah!

  • Mount 2000 was for me a very emotional experience.  I have not felt so pained, so sad, so touched, so full of wonder, so joyful, and so cleansed in...a very very long time, if such a time ever occurred.  I would like to write a more in depth entry about the messages we heard, but for some reason, I have not been able to bring myself to do it.  Perhaps I am still digesting the messages myself and so I am not ready to share it yet.  But I am truly glad I gave in to my inner voice and decided to go because I have been touched by God and it still brings tears to my eyes.  I wish I am able to verbally proclaim what I felt but I do not have the skills to do so.  Hopefully sooner than later, I can put into written words the experience of Mount 2000.

    Jason Evert was one of our speakers and it was a SEX TALK.   Do I have your attention?  Well this guy is in his 20's and he is very funny, in touch with youth and young adults, and very blunt about sex.  Check out the website for facts and info on love, sex, and relationships, and even listen to one of his talks for free.  ALL OF US WHO WENT TO MT 2000 HIGHLY RECOMMEND HEARING THIS GUY OUT.  Go check it out.
